We wanted to share with you their most extraordinary secrets, off the traditional routes. Come and discover these paradisiacal places aboard AHO AHO, our magnificent 28-foot boat.

We offer exclusively private tours, at your pace and most importantly according to your desires.

Various themes are available: a boat ride, an intimate meal on a motu beach, discovering aquatic fauna, an introduction to or practicing towed sports, and finally, ending your day by admiring a stunning sunset over Bora Bora. We are here to accompany and guide you in our paradise.

We share your passion. Our team of enthusiasts will accompany you throughout your day (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) or half-day (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) to help you discover the most beautiful spots of Raiatea and (or) Tahaa.

Our snorkeling trip lasts 3.5 – 4 hours for a half-day or 6 to 7 hours for a full day. We choose the sites based on the weather and your preferences. 3 types of snorkeling are possible: In the lagoon, in the ocean, or drifting along the pass edges.

Let’s enjoy together what the lagoon and ocean have to offer. What you may see can be impressive if all conditions are met: sharks, gray rays, leopard rays, manta rays, and a multitude of lagoon fish. Of course, the weather conditions will guide our choices.

Always accompanied by a guide, you will discover the stunning underwater landscapes of Raiatea and/or Tahaa on a snorkeling excursion.

Boat Ride, Visit, and Swimming in the Lagoon of Raiatea or Tahaa

The Lagoon of Raiatea / Tahaa is vast. Its landscape is stunning. We have a slight preference for the West Coast of Raiatea. Indeed, Mount Temehani offers us a magnificent view with its cliff “of a thousand waterfalls.”

Board our Four Wins 270 for a 3.5-hour ride, departing from Raiatea or Tahaa (depending on your accommodation).

We will choose the most sheltered side based on the weather that day to ensure the tour is as pleasant as possible.

At your convenience, we can make stops at a pearl farm, a vanilla plantation, or take a swim in shallow water…
“Relaxation” will be the key word for this half-day trip.

If you decide to go for a full day, you will enjoy a meal prepared by a local chef on a motu beach.

Whale and Dolphin Excursion

In Search of Marine Mammals: Whales, Dolphins, etc.

In search of marine mammals. In 2002, Polynesia was designated as a sanctuary for marine mammals, and all species of sharks have been protected since 2012.
Whales and dolphins are fascinating animals, whether for their size, intelligence, or even their behaviors.

How lucky we are! It is quite rare, worldwide, to observe whales from a boat and even rarer to get into the water with them, but Polynesia is a magical place. Approved by the environmental department, we are able to introduce you to these ocean giants.

After 3 months of migration, having traveled about 6,000 km, the whales arrive here. Once here, they do not feed and give birth. The baby whale consumes 500L of milk per day and doubles its weight in 2 weeks. The little one will become independent only after 4 years. It’s important to note that a whale only gives birth to one calf every 3-4 years and cares for it daily.

From September to November, humpback whales come to us to give birth and reproduce. These “caring mothers” prefer our clear, warm waters to begin their baby’s education. Be careful, when we talk about a baby, we must still understand the proportions. The baby whale weighs 1 to 2 tons at birth and measures 4 to 5 meters. The mother weighs about 25 to 30 tons and measures 12 to 16 meters.

How our excursions go:

Either half-day from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, or full day from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Depending on the weather, we look for sheltered areas to observe the cetaceans. Indeed, it is easier to find these ocean giants when the sea is calm. At a very slow pace, we cruise along the reef; the more eyes looking, the higher the chance of spotting them. The outing is not guaranteed. We depend on their willingness. Let’s keep in mind that some days are better than others, unfortunately.

We look for blows, fins, jumps… any sign is useful. We use every possible means to find them. We have a small network of fishermen, contacts in various maritime activities, and friends living in the heights of the island who help us spot them.

The encounter(s) is/are unforgettable. It can be a single whale, a couple in a courtship display, a mother and her calf, a group of individuals, or a pod of dolphins…
